Company Information, February 2004:


Yu Jian Yo Language Services, Ltd. is a translation and software localization business in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (British Columbia's capital city) on Vancouver Island, an island about the size of Taiwan off the southwest coast of Canada.  

Vancouver Island is a good home for whales, bears, salmon, cougars, beavers, and bald eagles.  It is also home to many high-tech industries and the prestigious University of Victoria.  New Canadians from almost every country on earth call this island home.  We're a short ferry ride away from either Vancouver, Canada or Seattle, USA, and near the future site of the Winter Olympics (2008 in Whistler, British Columbia).   It's a great place for a translation/localization company!

Yu Jian Yo means "Wandering Joyfully through Languages" and we do love our work.  Incorporated in 1998,  the business is primarily female-owned and operated. 

As a member of VIATeC (Vancouver Island Advanced Technology  Centre), Yu Jian Yo recently had a booth at VIATeC's IslandTech 2003, a showcase of innovative Vancouver Island high-tech companies. 

Yu Jian Yo Language Services, Ltd. has developed the 123Buildit Multilingual Online Shopping System in 14 languages, which interacts with their MS SQL database (with Unicode encoding to enable shopping in any language), and features an employee intranet which can also be activated in any language.

Yu Jian Yo Language Services, Ltd. is small, but dreams big.  As we progressively expand our multilingual services, we strive to maintain our friendly, client-centred philosophy.  We currently are running projects in the following areas:
